Updating ipod on different computer
If your i Tunes Music Library is still intact on your old computer, then you’ll need to copy all of your media files over to the new computer. If your music only exists on your i Pod, you’ll need to rescue that music. We’ll show you how to do it effectively, no matter if you have a PC or a Mac.Take a minute to check all your software and get your songs ready.I used to have a PC, but recently switched to a Mac, and now I’m having problems with my i Pod.I want to use the i Pod with my new Mac, but it’s formatted for Windows. And thanks to i Cloud, everything you purchase through the i Tunes Store is automatically available on all your devices for free. i Pod touch features an Apple-designed A8 chip built on 64-bit architecture. To enhance your music experience even more, Apple Music is available on your i Pod touch, right in the Music app. This desktop-class chip features GPU performance up to 10 times faster than the previous-generation i Pod touch — so the graphics in your favorite games are more responsive and look more vivid than ever before — and CPU performance is up to six times faster.
To get the greatest graphics performance out of the A8 chip, we created Metal — a new technology that allows developers to design highly immersive console-style games.
Whether you are using a PC or Mac, you will need to install i Tunes and make sure that the latest updates have been installed (if nothing else, this adds some quality of life changes that will make the other steps easier).
Likewise, if possible make sure that your mobile device is also updated.
Back up your files and make sure i Tunes is up to date before you perform the i Pad software update. Left-click on the i Pad under the Devices section on the left side of the i Tunes window if you enabled the "Show Sidebar" option in i Tunes 11.
If not, select the i Pad from the Devices section located in the top right corner of the screen.
